300 years is a long time, and in that time, Fortnum’s have served up feasting and festivities through 12 reigns of the monarchy. This period has witnessed momentous change as barriers have been broken and world orders reset. Yet in all these years, one thing has happily remained the same – Christmas. In a constantly evolving and increasingly fast-paced world, Christmas has stayed as charmingly familiar as the gifts under the tree. It is a much-needed respite at the end of yet another eventful year.

George was briefed with creating a window scheme for the remote store in Heathrow that would engage with travellers as they whistle their festive way through the terminal and ultimately make room in their suitcases for a little bit of Fortnum’s for a special loved one.

George created three-dimensional visuals for approval, before rolling up his sleeves yet another late-night Christmas installation, at the UK’s biggest airport. Erecting two eight-foot-tall trees, both abundantly dressed in rich gold decorations and, of course, featuring the company’s signature pantone ‘Eau De Nil’. Plinths were fabricated to look like giant presents and were dressed lavishly with an array of treats, from smooth hot chocolate to scrumptiously sweet preserves, marmalades, and honey.

Visual merchandising and store design go hand in hand when influencing consumer behaviour. Visual draughts need to be planned meticulously, setting out a precise vision of the customer’s needs.

George can propose layouts though analysing sale reports, create bespoke themes based on engagement and produce memorable visual points of interest, which achieve the ultimate aim of increasing customer engagement and driving more sales.

George can imagine exclusive retail brand atmospheres from the initial concept stage right through to 3D visuals, before bringing his vision to life in the store.

Consumer demands are forever changing, and the retail industry must evolve accordingly by providing unique and relatable shopping environments designed with passion. If you need a fresh approach to your brand’s visual strategy to enhance your customer’s experience, then get in touch.

Bespoke installations or multi-store design, every window display is unique and imagined to inspire potential customers. Windows act as a gateway to the customer’s journey in the store, setting the scene for what is to come by dazzling the senses.

George has been creating memorable, innovative and engaging window displays for premier retailers for over a decade, capturing the intense experience that show-stopping window displays and distinctive visual merchandising schemes should induce in the customers.

MAKING CHRISTMAS MERRIER T5

At a time when Christmas campaigns are almost as hotly anticipated as Christmas itself, nothing evokes a ‘traditional English Christmas time’ more than Fortnum & Mason. As a key season, Christmases have been made merry and bright since 1707, with Fortnum & Mason this year celebrating their enduring authority as the ultimate Christmas destination.
