





A modern rework of the nutcracker maybe, But Bourne’s subversive version still celebrates the theme of food, with an array of characters such as Queen Candy, Prince Bon-Bon, King Sherbet, The Marshmallow Girls and a trio of yobbish Gobstoppers. The perfect collaboration between the luxury food retailer Fortnum and Mason, boasting over 500 different confectionaries, and a scrumptiously gastronomic theatrical performance.
George was briefed to create a sweetie-land-themed window display that would promote the theatrical extravaganza taking place down the road in Piccadilly and also showcase a taste of the confectionery available.
The window was piled high with luscious liquorice, mouth-watering marshmallows, and many other sugary creations. A Glittery backdrop was used to create a shimmering spectacle behind the candy-coated dreamscape. George also created a vinyl candy boarder to frame the display, the overall visual experience providing a real feast for the senses.
