As a home, lifestyle and food senior Visual Merchandiser for Selfridges, George’s role involved developing concepts to communicate the narrative of the campaign across the store. Naturally, given the main gastronomic focus of Easter is chocolate, the confectionery department was centre stage when it came to this campaign.
Working hand in hand with the children’s wear Visual Merchandiser, George drafted a concept, which would be fun and full of spring vibrancy. Sourcing rabbit hutches and chicken decorations, which were painted and flocked to produce playfully cute chicken coops. The Selfridges “Easter Egg Eggstravaganza" certainly did hit the springtime spot!

EGGSTRAVAGANZA

After Christmas, Easter is the second coming for retailers. It is a time of treasure hunts and springtime sunshine - the perfect time to get out, explore and indulge with the family. And what would Easter be without a traditional egg hunt?
Egg extravaganza is a campaign Selfridges throws to keep the kids entertained during the period. While customer’s get their fashion fix, children receive a map to go on an egg hunt, searching far and wide through the rails of designer garments.
